Pviewer generates a modern styled HTML report, which is more easier to read and to understand, than the STATSPACK report from Oracle produced by STATSPACK spreport.sql. Furthermore the pviewer (in opposite to the original STATSPACK report from Oracle) contains the complete SQL text, the graphical explain plan for the high impact SQLs, interpretation hints as well as recommendations and also unshortened and easy copyable result values. As one important new feature pviewer calculates and displays inside of the Graphical execution plan for the high impact SQLs the Estimated elapsed node time which contains only the Elapsed time of the actual operation without the elapsed time for the child nodes. Therefore pviewer highlights expensive operations and you see very fast and very rapidly which steps of the execution plan of the high impact SQLs are most expensive.
