An open source freeware Internet text web browser for the Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT operating systems. Surf fetches Internet web pages, converting thecontents from HTML into narrowly wrapped text files using the US-ASCII character set, preserving the web page address, title, and clickable hyperlinks. Surf tabulates both the previously fetched and the as-yet unfetched URLs into a single editable URL list file using a pure text format. Surf grooms the URL list file as your guide to read the best of the collected web pages, ordered according to three page quality indices. Surf also has a powerful and streamlined searching facility. With a single command, you can send your query to thirty-eight primary search engines around theworld, gathering hundreds of hit pages.
