Will measure this lag between you and Internet Quake engine game (Quake, Hexen 2,etc) servers automatically. GameSpy downloads a list of servers from your choice(s) of the many available server information sources, such asthe aforementioned websites. GameSpy then pings all these servers, and lists them according to their latency. Once the list is complete, you can see what's going on at any server listed. Clicking on a server displays the map being played, thenumber of players, and the crucial lag information: its ping time and packet loss count (a server with a good ping time can still be difficult to play on if there is a high degree of packet loss). GameSpy also shows detailed information about the players on the server, such as their scores and colors, and settings on the server itself, such asteamplay and speed variables. Once you find the server that you want, simply double click on the server's name. GameSpy launches the game and automatically connects to the selected server.
