The 'application browser' is a program to develop individual and flexible solutions with markups. Applications of examples are generic systems, forums, guestbook, list mailer, submitter and robots. A preversion of the aBrowsers based on Perl supports FTP, HTTP, ODBC, Excel, ASII lists and Mails. The source code version with XML support and direct databaseaccess will issued summer 2000. The resulting 'markup programs' are independent of a programming language, since they use interface functions. A aBrowsers-versin in Java is planned this year. All offered versions become open source, so users can extend the application browser itself by new interface functions.
