Lithium is a desktop experience enhancement. Its theme engine allows customization of windows and user interface "look and feel." Windows NT/2K/XP can now have a completely new design with a themed title bar and window frame. Window behavior is also enhanced. And it now rolls up on double click at the title bar. Lithium provides virtual desktops or workspaces, providing better window management and eliminating window clutter. Lithium currently supports up to 9 workspaces. Each desktop may be associated with its background image which switches as you switch to another desktop. Lithium also provides a simple menu system. It is a configurable component that allows you to have a quick list of applications popup when the desktop is right clicked. Lithium is not just a theming and a virtual desktop engine. It is designed to be extensible. Several components will be released soon and will provide an entirely new desktop experience.
