J9 is a user-friendly mp3 sharer which provides performing mp3 searches and transferring mp3 files from other users. When you start J9, it makes a search operation through your mp3 files found in your hard-drive, gets their file informations and lists them. When you (or others) perform a search, this index file (which was listed by J9 before you sign in the J9 server) is called and read (Note that J9 does not host your mp3 files; only indexed file informations are harboured). If it matches the desired search term, at this time J9 server sends you the information of what user owns this mp3 file and then J9 application displays it to you in an order. This information only consists of user's personal mp3 index page address, in other words, user's IP number. By getting the IP number of the user, you can visit his/her personal mp3 index page by double clicking his/her name. All displayed users has either the same file or similar ones. Personal mp3 index pages can be viewed either by J9 application or by using a web browser. This suitability of J9 makes your personal mp3 index page accessible anywhere in the world. If you want your friend to view your mp3 files and download them, just start J9, and tell him/her your personal mp3 index page's address (your IP number) and let him/her visit your page. Because only your mp3 files are indexed and served, it is not possible for you to get un-wanted files (like .exe .com .bat extentioned files) in any way. Before you transfer the file you desired, a validation check is done. If someway it is perceived that it is not an mp3 file or not a valid one, your transaction is cancelled by J9 displaying the message: 'File type ignored.' Note:When searching, type '-random' to view all the users on the server.
