Java applet downloads the compressed voice with bitrate 8000bps, decompress and playback it in real-time. User may add button to Web site for starting of voice streaming. For voice streaming 12 kbps modem is enough. Applet has size 29K and low complexity. The demo version has limitation of duration of sounding - 5 sec. Applet provides voice streaming without needing either a plug-in in the browser or an audio server at the other end. No need for a time-consuming plug-in nor the hassle of installing and RE-installing it (and all the other plug-ins) everytime you upgrade your browser. All Java-enabled browsers should be able to handle it.
