Review

xStarter is an advanced automation tool that allows system administrators to automate their repetitive tasks. The program uses its built-in scheduler to automate backups, file archiving, synchronizing files and folders via FTP, starting specific applications and controlling their output and more. This saves you time and effort. Yet, a system administrator must often control hundreds of computers. In most cases, you need to run quite similar maintenance tasks on all of the computers in your organization. This is why you need an option to prepare a task once and then deploy it to remote PCs. xStarter Web Pilot is a version of xStarter that is specifically designed to administer large numbers of remote computers. xStarter Web Pilot works as a system administrator's agent on a remote computer. In addition to all the xStarter features, the program accepts remote connections with a web browser. This allows you to connect to a remote computer and manage the scheduled tasks it is running. You can view the list of tasks, watch their status and control their execution. You can, for example, start/stop tasks manually as needed. Execution logs are also available via the web browser interface. This is done without the use of third party web servers. You don't need to configure IIS or other web server on remote computers. An HTTP daemon is built into xStarter Web Pilot. The HTTP daemon supports SSL for secure connections. xStarter Web Pilot allows you to create a task locally and then deploy it to any remote machine on which you wish this task to run. This dramatically cuts the time needed to set up scheduled tasks on all the computers in your organization. No web browser interface is needed for deploying tasks. You can deploy new or edited tasks on remote PCs right from your local xStarter copy.
