If you have information stored in files on your computer (or that you wish to send to someone) and you don't want anyone who might gain access to your PC (e.g., a thief) to be able to read those files then you can encrypt that data using a secure encryption program (such as Cryptosystem ME6). The problem with encrypted data is that its presence indicates that there is something there which might be worth seeing. This problem can be solved by hiding the encrypted data (or the original plaintext) so that it is no longer visible. Use this program to hide a message file of any size within one or more BMP image files. Uses a stego key for encryption and randomization of bit-insertion. Allows use of a default stego key for transmission of a message to others. Designed to resist detection of hidden message by statistical tests.
