Review

FreeSecurity is a freeware application that allows you to use encryption to secure your files. FreeSecurity uses strong 128bit AES encryption (according to NIST, it would take about 149 trillion years to break an AES key using usual methods) which offers a great level of protection to your files. Additionally, it offers zip file compression on the encrypted files. FreeSecurity is completely free, doesn't contain any spyware and doesn't require any registration or another annoying process. However, it cannot be used on illegal activities. Although FreeSecurity is free, I'd appreciate it if you would donate if you like the program and find it useful. FreeSecurity is developed in Java and requires only that your operating system has a Java Runtime Environment, version 1.4 or above, installed. It was designed to work on all major operating systems such as Windows, MacOS and Linux (tested on Suse Linux Pro 9.0, Mandrake 10.1 and on Windows 98, 2000, XP and Server 2003).
