WinI2C/DDC is a powerful solution that allows to control display devices in Windows environment via DDC/CI protocol. It allows to send DDC/CI commands via standard video cable (VGA, DVI, HDMI) and control display devices that support DDC/CI protocol: CRT/LCD monitors, projectors, plasma displays etc. WinI2C/DDC library is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista, it supports many types of video chips (nVidia, ATI, Intel, SiS, etc) and configurations with several monitors. WinI2C/DDC is the fastest and cost-effective way to create such software as color calibration solutions or OSD-replacement utilities. WinI2C/DDC library can be very useful in many projects, for example, it can be integrated into any asset management software for providing all necessary information about display devices installed. WinI2C/DDC API allows to perform all necessary operations with display devices: Enumeration of all monitors installed. Getting DDC/CI monitor capabilities. Reading EDID (extended display identification data) directly from a monitor. EDID contains basic information about a monitor and its capabilities, including vendor information, maximum image size, color characteristics, factory pre-set timings, frequency range limits, and character strings for the monitor name and serial number. Reading and changing such monitor settings as brightness, contrast, screen position, size, colors gain, etc. Execution of any commands that display device supports via DDC/CI.
