The program has been created as universal application for surveillance hybrid platforms working all together with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same form and functionality on the local and remote computers. Users see MPEG coded video and have complete control of the program using network that surveillance station can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular structure extensively increases reliability because all modules proceed as independent applications. If one part stops working, other units go on running. For example if the `record` unit fails, `watchdog` starts over it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video using a `playback` component. The program makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by motion, human face recognition, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on distant station through Web interface. The software performs simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple webcams at the same time. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
