The software has been created as common program for security cross platforms running simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet webcams, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the equal form and functionality on the local and apart workstations. Users view MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the program via network that surveillance computer can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular structure significantly boosts reliability because all components work as independent applications. If one part stops working, other modules go on running. For instance if the `record` module freezes, `watchdog` starts over it right away that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video via a `playback` module. The software makes `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be started by motion, human face recognition, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance station as well as on apart station via Web interface. The software does synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras at the same time. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
