I grew tired of all the painful steps sophisticated graphics editor programs make users go through when all I want to do is make my photos small enough to email. Open the file, crop the image, verify the output, select the output format, adjust the modifiable output options available that I don't understand, chose the save location, save...and then do it all over again for each image ..a very time consuming process. This is fine if you plan on manipulating your photos but most of the time, 99% of the time, I have have no need for this. Motivated by the frustration of wasting too much time and not being able to find a solution on the net worth paying for, I set out to write my own utility with five objectives in mind: 1) Resize photos to whatever size I choose 2) Convert image formats (jpg, bmp, gif, tif, png - into any of these formats) 3) Save the file in the original location so I don't have to choose one 4) Resize many images simultaneously 5) Keep it simple My solution: PictureGirdle
