Xiiris is an arcade style open source space shooter game. Source will be released in conjuction with the release of the actual game. There are rumours about commitment to multiplayer expansion if the arcade version is a success. Shh.. Xiiris engine is being built on top of RetinaX, a managed DirectX game engine library that is being developed along with the game. RetinaX features scene graph based rendering, 3d sound support and ui framework. Xiiris runs on Windows (i386) machines and requires 3d hardware acceleration card with DirectX support. We have not yet figured out the minimum requirements.
